Peee esssss! that is exactly the way he sounds. His voice started dropping and getting deeper at the age of 13 and hasn't stopped since.

Bloody hell, that's a good voice for someone his age!
21st-Nov-2008 04:26 pm (UTC)
He thanks you! His voice is deeper than his Dad's..

needless to say, Dave is a little put off by that..Also this doesn't help when the little monster is almost as tall as dear ole Dad!
21st-Nov-2008 08:28 pm (UTC) - Wonder what his music teacher thinks?
I know a guy in New Hamps with a voice close to that but he's like ten years older than boi. That voice *will* be of help in the future, I just know it.

Is it just me or have recent generations been getting taller and taller? I see highschool girls taller than me and I'm "only" 6'1, non-slouch posture and all so I know my height. Must be something in the water.
24th-Nov-2008 01:52 pm (UTC) - Re: Wonder what his music teacher thinks?
I think that with every generation there are people who get taller, stronger and smarter on some level. I think better diets are responsible. Im just a short shit 5'5, but my personality is most definitely 6'foot!

ehhh he doesn't have a music teacher. The way the schools are here, music is not considered a requirement. However, He's been badgered by music teachers who ask him to enroll in their classes and foot ball coaches used to accost him in the hallways asking him to try out. HIM? He's a geek!

Once he transferred schools, he's now taking psychology classes which is pretty awesome. Its all about the braiiiiing right?

Ah :)
Effin cool!
21st-Nov-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
hahahaha...he'd be perfect for radio! Seriously, though....very nice voice. :)
21st-Nov-2008 04:27 pm (UTC)
My friends and clients who've never met the Boi ask me WHO IS THAT MAN WITH THE SEXY VOICE?

when I inform them this is my 17 year old son, they immediately apologise..and I can't stop laughing..!
21st-Nov-2008 03:39 am (UTC)
Holy crap Kahat... That's it, I am moving to Eugene and stealing your son. That voice just made me weak at the knees!
21st-Nov-2008 04:30 pm (UTC)
aaaaaahhh he thinks you are all that too Judy!

He's a bit bewildered by all the attention, but true to his nature, he's soaking it all up..conceited little shit!
21st-Nov-2008 11:13 pm (UTC)
By the way, I totally agree with him on the country music thing. He should be hosting a late night metal show.
21st-Nov-2008 04:49 am (UTC)
LOL.

Well, you sound exactly how I imagined you to. He does have a lovely voice. My husband has one of those, too. My former boss admitted to hoping he would answer the phone when she called me at home just to hear him. Hee.

You know, that guy who did all of the movie ads just passed on. Maybe he can take his place? ; )
21st-Nov-2008 04:33 pm (UTC)
That is a THOUGHT! a marketable voice, *thinks of being taken care of in her old age and dismisses that thought for he'd cheerfully toss my withered old ass down the stairs..*

nope he wants to be a cop, when he reads them their rights with the right force in his voice I think the preps will shut up and listen.
21st-Nov-2008 09:29 am (UTC)
Ha, ha! That's =fabulous=! He could do radio. But then, so could you!
21st-Nov-2008 04:38 pm (UTC)
awwww thank you Lula!
you've yet to meet him, I think you'd find him hilarious!
21st-Nov-2008 12:54 pm (UTC)
LOL! I loved that. His voice is *so* much deeper than mine, LOL. Totally reminded me of Seth McFarlane - really cool!

And I love that you were laughing! Made me laugh tooo. =]
21st-Nov-2008 04:40 pm (UTC)
Im going to tell him that! he LOOOVES Family Guy!

When he's in one of those moods, I can't stop laughing!..mostly at him of course!..

Someone told me my laugh is infectious, gets everyone else laughing too!

Wishing you have a lovely day, peaceful and without turbulence.
21st-Nov-2008 03:08 pm (UTC)
he has so much *presence*...Radio would be fun, but get him on a stage singing and that'd be even better, IMHO. (Not country! of course!)

21st-Nov-2008 05:00 pm (UTC)
aaaahhhh the delicious irony! to be good at something one hates!

Heh..he'd rather be shot than sing country, but he's soooo good at sounding like the Oakridge Boys..IF HE can sing without gagging on every single word!

21st-Nov-2008 04:13 pm (UTC)
Wow, he must work for a cool radio station, or may be a sexy singer of course not like Axl Rose or Bon Jovi because they are OLD, you are totally a sweet Boi.

Hugs my dear Kahat
21st-Nov-2008 05:03 pm (UTC)
He should work for a radio station!

I will tell him what you said, he's 17, but he sounds and thinks like a 30 year old

Hugs to you dear Alma! hope all is well with you.
21st-Nov-2008 06:16 pm (UTC)
Lol! okay, in actual truth, while I appreciate he'd rather 'drop dead before he sings country', he DOES have the voice for it.

that voice sounds way older than he is....that has traffic report written all over it. Haha, get him to post again doing the weather.
24th-Nov-2008 01:54 pm (UTC)
OH my gawd...this comment got everyone here laughing! Traffic REPORT? thats freakin' hilarious!

Yer a clever girl, you do know that don't you?
21st-Nov-2008 07:00 pm (UTC)
my husband was known on the air as "tai peterson" on the rock and country stations for years. it used to be "tie one on with tai peterson". he's done radio for fifteen years.

first, have the boi email my hubby at kevinmkirk@gmail. talk about radio. then, they can talk about tool and ministry and system of a down and whatever else.

second, boi does NOT want to be on country stations. you have to "live the lifestyle" to "connect" with the listeners. my hubby does it, but he's so friggin sick of country he could puke. he's ready to do the progressive rock station again just as soon as they move him over.

you'll never get rich in radio, but you get to see movies whenever you want for free, you get shitloads of free swag, and you'll never wear a suit and tie.

:-)
24th-Nov-2008 01:56 pm (UTC)
Im going to pass this on to him, He's asleep right now and its about 6 sumptin in the am. I appreciate this sweets.

True enough about not getting rich in radio, but my little rattie senses looooves the idea of free swag! heh..!
22nd-Nov-2008 08:39 am (UTC)
Damn, his voice is just too cool... I totally like it.
I think you should do the radio tougether! I couldn`t stop laughing just now!
24th-Nov-2008 02:22 pm (UTC)
he'd be wrinkling his brow and saying .."RADIO SHOW?, with my MOTHER?" Gaaaaaaaa!!!

This is the teenage boy thing kicking in, apparently the cultural thing the world over is that NO one especially a boy, wants to do anything with their "mother"! When Opeth rolled into Eugene some few years ago, Boi's friends asked me if I wanted to go. YAAAAH OF course I did, the boi was appalled. His friends saw nothing wrong, the boi asked them if they wanted their mothers to come with them.."Uh..My mom doesn't like heavy metal" said one teenager..

I had to laugh at the look on the Boi's face, PRICELESS!
27th-Nov-2008 06:31 am (UTC) - wooo
WOW that is a deep manly voice! He could totally do radio. Shittt, why not! That is a pretty intimidating roar he has. I am impressed.
27th-Nov-2008 09:46 pm (UTC) - Re: wooo
awww thank you dear! The Boi thanks you too..*steals a look at Mr I'm-all-that..*

Heh..DORK!
